About the Podcast
This is about scratching that icy itch. (And mixed itch. And drytooling itch too. Ya dig?).
We’ll be covering a lot, and the format will be a bit funky. As in, there will be many formats. If you like:
1. Location beta: History and stories from classic climbing areas, and key info you need to plan a trip.
2. Training tips: You won’t find another hangboard protocol here. Specificity is the name of the game.
3. Education: Deep dives into expedition planning, techniques, gear, and more.
This is the podcast for you.
Why another podcast?
For one, I’m scratching my own itch. (I’m itchy, okay?). Maybe you, like me, have been looking for a podcast that caters to the pointy people—and want more than the occasional one-off episode from rock lovers.
For two, this is about a deeper dive into the ice climbing areas we love and the people behind them. It’s about practical advice for training and useful how tos. It’s about this weird community who climbs on tools on ice, on stone, on plastic and on metal.
So for those stoked on sticks, here’s your next ear worm.
